THE HOUSE
A large, bright, 3600 square foot (360 sq. meter), house with a spectacular view of the historic center of one of Mexico’s most fascinating colonial cities and of the mountains surrounding the city. Completely remodeled in 2007-2008 in traditional Mexican style using high quality ceramic tiles and stone throughout. The house features several beautifully crafted vaulted ceilings—the traditional brick bovedas for which Guanajuato’s stone masons are famous. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen is a gourmet cook’s dream, both functional and beautifully decorated with colorful mayolica tile, copper pots hanging above a central island, elegant hardwood cabinets, and a grand brick arch opening into the dining room. The rooftop terrace with wetbar, large charcoal grill, fireplace, wraparound benches, comfortable furniture, abundant flowers, and pergola, is an irresistible setting for enjoying morning coffee or watching the sun set over the mountains.

The house is on a beautifully landscaped 2,100 square meter property, featuring lemon, lime, tangerine, and olive trees, abundant bouganvillia, and a variety of impressive cacti.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Casa and Apartments Vino y Sol are located in a safe residential neighborhood on the Panoramic Road (Carretera Panoramica) at the intersection of Calle Temezcuitate. Our neighborhood is exceptional because although everything central is only a seven to ten minute walk downhill, it is perched high enough to avoid the noise, density, and commotion of downtown. Small alleyways (callejones) provide quick access to the Jardin de la Union, Plaza Baratillo, Embajadoras market, the Pastita neighborhood, Teatro Principal, Plaza de la Paz, the University of Guanajuato, as well as a host of restaurants and bars. Our location is safe, quiet, yet very convenient!
